Nash Ohlund is a jazz pianist born and raised in Kansas City, a town internationally recognized as the foundational "cradle of jazz." He now lives and studies in Chicago at DePaul University under the guidance of Jim Trompeter.

Nash is a founding member of the Whitney Payne Quartet and was selected as a Kansas City Area Youth Jazz Fellow, which culminated its season with the release of a studio album.

At the Skidmore Jazz Institute in the summer of 2025, Nash arranged Kenny Garrett's "November 15" for an eight-piece band. His honors include two selections to the KMEA All-State Jazz Band, Outstanding Soloist at the Kansas Bandmasters Association Jazz Championship, and the Quincy Jones Musicianship Award.
